Ayia Napa Beach Sets New Standards

Ayia Napa and Protaras are known for their golden sandy beaches along safe and shallow waters. But not all beaches are the same.

Some are vast and bustling with activity, others are tiny and more secluded. Some have been left just as God created them, but many provide sunbathing facilities, showers and beach kiosks. One, in particular, offers the best of both worlds: Ammos tou Kampouri.

For many years it was a well-kept secret, but since it was awarded the European Blue Flag, it has developed into a preferred location among sun worshipers seeking a quiet spot to relax and cool off in crystal clear waters. Just recently, the Ayia Napa municipality took it to the next level…

Located 2km east of the centre of Ayia Napa, the relatively small beach of Ammos tou Kampouri is set between the Ayia Napa Sea Caves and Limnara beach. Extensive works have just been completed here to offer bathers comfort and convenience on this municipal beach. In fact, it is the first public beach to provide high quality facilities of international standard. The beach and all the jobs associated with it will remain under the management and control of the municipality.

Visit Ammos tou Kampouri beach and you will enjoy luxurious sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as family cabanas made from solid iroko wood with sand-coloured material to blend in with the beach environment. All in all, the facilities were designed to be both pleasing to the eye and environment-friendly at the same time, to create a relaxing beachfront setting.

The Ayia Napa Municipality sees this beach as the first of many more to follow within its municipal boundaries. The object is to make Ayia Napa’s public beaches among the best on the island, adding value to its coastline and the seafront properties along and near the beach. SkyPrime Group’s Sea Pearl Residences are directly overlooking Ammos tou Kampouri and rank as a prime investment opportunity for either personal use or to generate rental income. If you’re in Ayia Napa this summer, make sure to visit this beautiful beach.

The project was developed in cooperation with the designer Bianca Minides, and the standard charges for facilities will remain unchanged and as elsewhere, at €2.50 per person.
